Hasn’t it been wet lately? Just the sort of fantastic weather for all those wet wintry shots of people out and about in the rain.
Firstly let me once again congratulate Bruce Burgess on gaining his Fellowship, with a stunning set of winter images of a “Hoar Frost” He put in a tremendous amount of work and it paid off – well done, you deserved it.
Bruce has also published these images and others in a book that can be viewed and purchased on line at www.blurb.comthis is truly worth looking at.
The committee have been busy all year providing workshops and outings of outstanding quality, like the portrait night by Lisa Crandall (www.imageme.co.nz) or the night we had two outstanding visitors, Peter McMahon from the PSNZ and John Chapman a world renowned PJ Photographer – both speakers are at the top of their profession and gave a wonderful night’s entertainment.
A big thanks to you and to all those people who have given their time and their tips freely, we really have enjoyed the evenings with you.
The committee would like members, to let them know what you would like to see in workshops and outings – after all it is your club and we on the committee would like to provide what you would like to see and do, if at all possible.
We are rapidly approaching the AGM and the club NEEDS YOU. Come and join the team; the benefits are great – get to know members better and learn more about photography – be in the driving seat and decide upon the activities the club will participate in. We would like to see new members come forward; this is for all members, you will gain so much for so little effort.
Don't forget to check out the calendar and your points while you're on the web site, and we'll look forward to seeing you at the next meeting.
